In the ruins of the fallen Adal Empire, you awaken with a mysterious mask on your face, and faint recollections of an esoteric ceremony. Freeing you from hunger, thirst, and even death, the mask is the creation of the Guides, the rulers of these lands, who have placed you here to determine whether you are worthy of becoming part of the elite corps of Absolvers.
The first cairn is to the right of the entrance and up a path guarded by 3-4 enemies. The second cairn is on the way to the altar to the right of the temple up a path.
As you wander these forsaken lands, encountering other Prospects like you, you will learn new combat styles, acquire weapons, gear and armor, and build a team of warriors with whom to fight side by side in Arenas of combat.Backwards CompatibilityThis repack IS NOT backwards compatible with my previous repack of the game. Absolver is an online multiplayer combat experience where players are placed behind the mask of a Prospect by the ever-present Guides, the new rulers of the fallen Adal Empire that will determine your worth in joining their elite corps of enforcers. Prospects will wander forsaken lands, encountering others to learn new combat skills, acquire weapons and armor, and engage in solo duels and intense three-on-three battles.Players will define their Prospect’s approach by picking a combat style, a weapon of choice, and arranging attacks in their Combat Deck to design their unique and personal attack flow. Through battle with opponents, sparing with friends, and even taking on a mentor players will expand their knowledge and mastery of combat with new moves, weapons, and armor on their journey to Absolution. Gameplay modes include solo play, online cooperative modes, and online versus modes.Show More. There's also co-op but it still has pretty much the same problem and the barely functional online servers make trying to do co-op in the first place pretty difficult and speaking of online. Pvp can be great (in theory, I'll explain later) and you can surprisingly easily find 1v1 match even in the odd hours (12 to 5 AM) but finding 3v3 matches very rarely ever happens because of how few people play it. Now to explain the 'pvp can be great' thing. Pvp in actual fact is horrible for anyone with a short temper and if you're more patient you still most likely will not enjoy it because most of the people that play pvp are just.
twats that relies heavily on using incredibly cheap 'tactics' to compensate for the fact that they are bad. I really wanted to talk about more stuff but I don't have enoughcharacters. Submitted on 1/18/2020 Review title of ConnorFun, butThis game is fun, but playing it for a long time isn't. Its fun to look at the game and what you accomplish and enjoy building your decks, the PvE is really fun.
But once you've finished its PvE, everything is locked behind Combat Trials. The PvP is very bad, and is one of those games where the moment you get the specific moves that work in tangent, its just press X to win. Its impossible to improve your skills and combat this because that's what it is.
Rarely a fun fight. Always 'Die twice so you can memorize this attack line and HOPE your ping doesn't screw you over and you get a parry in.' I recommend it, but they really need more PvE. Submitted on 5/28/2019 Review title of umceNot worth money, get it free.I've put in somewhere around 50 hours into Absolver and prestiged twice, and never before have I played such an unbalanced, broken mess of a game. Enemies with seemingly infinite pools of Stamina to attack you with/block your attacks, attacks that don't even register againt the enemies, enemies that close any/all gaps made by dodging, the list goes on.(Fighting against real Players is fun enough if the Dev team's potato servers stay stable for more than 5 minutes.)The outfits/armor you can get from the ingame shop is all pretty cool for the most part, just be prepared for hours of grinding/farming for a mask. All in all, get it free if you have the Game Pass, this game is NOT worth the $30/$24. Submitted on 1/31/2020 Review title of KiershakA total turn aroundAbout a year ago i gave this game the worst review i could, calling it a game with 'great potential but a lousy execution'.
I played it again last night. Once again i beat the campaign in a few hours.
The difference was the lack of frustration had been replaced with a lack of wanting more. This game and the devs have completely turned thier. around. No more bad camera angles. No more falling through the map. No more game breaking lag. It feels like a total overhaul.
I never thought id say it, but i want this game to succeed. I went from wanting the game to finally die on xbox to wanting it to thrive.
Despite the incredibly short main story, i can whole-heartedly recommend this game. A must play if youre a fan of martial arts.
